If you would like to control devices based on the running state of your bike, this voltage sensing relay really fills that need nicely. It can turn on lights (or other devices) based on the charging voltage. When the bike is running they are on when it is off they are off.. there is also a trigger wire that can associate with your ignition if you would like.

A great local power distribution option is the Fuzeblocks FZ-1 this neat little gem allows you to independently fuse 6 circuits, and allows the option to select either constant or switched power
